About Dentice

Dentice – Dentist-to-be, Service to thee

Dentice, a sub-branch of Young Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Group of Hong Kong (YOMS), comprises dental students sharing a mutual endeavour to serve. The service-based organisation was first established in 2014, with a vision of empowering the underprivileged communities for better oral health by offering basic dental treatments and promoting dental knowledge.

Our work is founded on the belief that – the human touch is the most influential tool that channels our compassion, while treatment alone does not suffice. On top of local outreach projects, the team has ventured outside our comfort zone and embarked on service trips to mainland China, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Myanmar in the past few years.

What lies ahead is a journey of lifelong learning, that equips us as a healthcare practitioner with knowledge, as well as a person with a heart to care, comfort and empathize.
